Sam and Zach’s wedding felt timeless in the best way! That’s one of the things I love about Willow on Grand as a Des Moines wedding venue, it doesn’t overpower your whole wedding theme, it honestly just helps it shine!

It has neutral tones and really pretty modern architectural details that go amazingly with any florals, attire, color palettes, etc., and of course it has plenty of room for guests so it never feels crammed (honestly I think the simple modern aesthetic of this venue makes it even better because it’s not so busy and distracting!).

From portraits to reception moments, the space supported the entire day so beautifully. The natural light inside the venue is SO dreamy, which makes it ideal for couples wanting timeless, true-to-color images.

One thing I love about Willow on Grand as a Des Moines wedding venue is how amazing it pairs with a traditional church ceremony! A lot of couples in Iowa still choose to get married in their home church, and it’s one of my favorite things about being an Iowa wedding photographer. There’s something sacred about walking down the aisle in a place that already holds so many memories for you and your family. Then you get to head to Willow for the celebration, and it’s my fav combination every time!
