a LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME...

When I'm not behind the camera and working on all the other aspects of business you can find me spending time with my sweet, sweet family. I'm first and foremost a child of God, a wife and a mother to three beautiful babies. You'll see me daily drinking a caramel iced coffee (which ends up being equal parts cream and coffee ;P) and never turning down a good milkshake. I thrive in warm weather and being outdoors, I want to move somewhere warm + close to the beach so I can be outdoors all year round, but we're still working on that with my husband. ;) 

A few things that I love: Ice cream (as you already know hehe), traveling, spending time with my sweet family, music, dancing (even though I'm not good at it hehe) sunsets, cozy nights in, and just overall making memories out of the mundane. <3

Your experience with me begins way before your wedding day ever comes around, you can expect me to have quick response times, quick turnaround times with your photos, a SUPER FUN engagement session, my wedding guide exclusively made for YOU to help you with every aspect of wedding planning.

When it comes to your wedding day, I’m not just there as a vendor. I want to be a friend, and a servant. Someone you can rely on throughout your day, whether you need ibuprofen, someone to run to Walmart to get boob tape (because yes, sometimes that happens 😉) or someone to help decorate tables last minute. I’m here for it all. I don’t want you to be stressed at all, so my goal is to always take the stress off your shoulders and put them on mine so you can have the absolute best day of your life. 

After you reach out to me via the contact form, you can expect to hear back within 24-48 hours with an overly excited email and me literally squealing with excitement because you reached out. That email will give you ALL the information you need (and probably more ;) and it will include a link to schedule a call with me to make sure we are the best possible fit for each other, so you can be absolutely confident in your decision to have me as your bestie and sidekick throughout the whole planning process. I'm so passionate about helping you remember to only choose someone to hire you for your day that you feel comfortable to be around as well as have FUN with. Lets be real - I'm going to be with you more on your wedding day than your fiance will, so if you don't love my vibe, I WANT you to keep searching until you find the perfect fit for you and your fiance! After you send me the final go ahead saying you want to book I will do a big ole happy dance as I send you over a contract and invoice so that we can make everything official!! I seriously am so passionate about making your experience just that, an EXPERIENCE.

My team members are by far some of the best people I know. I took time to get to know the girls I hired to be a part of my team, trained them to handle a wedding day the same way I would, and trust them to give you the FULL BGP experience. These girls are my right and left hand, they help me to serve more couples than I am capable of serving on my own. I found that my capacity for leaving wedding days wasn't as much as it used to be as I am a mom of 3 under 3, but saying no to so many amazing couples was just SO difficult for me to do as I love to be able to serve each and every one of you. With that God put the desire to grow a team on my heart in order to serve more of you and serve you better. 

How this works is that you reach out just like you would if I were to be the one to photograph your wedding and if I am unavailable for your wedding date I would check the availability of my team and let you know who is available if you're willing to work with them. I would be the one to do all of the communication with you, serve you throughout the planning process, timeline assistance, editing and sending off your gallery, etc. My team member would show up and be the one to photograph the wedding for you, and serve you the day of, photo related or not. The girls I hired have been such amazing woman and their hearts to serve are so inspiring to see. So whether I'm the one photographing your day, or my team is, know that you are wholeheartedly loved, cared for, and our greatest desire is to serve you well and give you an experience that you will never forget! 

I found my love for photography in high school. I suffered through years of art classes just to be able to take photography. When my kids were born I took time away from photography to take time to soak up the precious years with them. I started taking photos of them myself and soon after that I found my passion for weddings and engagements! My passion is capturing the unscripted moments and providing a bomb experience for clients.

I'm engaged to my amazing fiance, Curtis, we are getting married next year and couldn't be more excited to plan my very own wedding! We are a blended family and have 3 kids together who range from 4-12 years old. I'm a cheer mom and absolutely love traveling to support them at cheer competitions during my slow season. We also have 3 dogs, a lab, a mini golden doodle, and a german shepherd. 

Some fun facts about me:  When I'm not out taking photos you can find me at the gym, traveling or going to a concert! I live in Iowa, but also consider Arizona to be my second home. I'm an iced coffee lover all times of the year!

I first picked up a camera when I was 16 years old when there was a need for a student sports photographer at my high school. Little did I know I was going to find my passion behind the lens. After high school, I decided to continue my education at Grand View University where I received a BA in Photography and Graphic Design in 2018. During my time at GVU, I had some amazing opportunities such as being the photographer for the Iowa Cubs for the 2016 & 2017 seasons.

I took a little bit of a hiatus from photography after graduating to focus on graphic design. However, when the world shut down in 2020, I decided to go back to my true joy and expand my photography business. I began capturing weddings, families and seniors and have been full time since 2021. Weddings have always been my favorite however. Whether it is a large wedding of 400 guests or a small elopement, I love being there to capture every moment and help the day run smoothly.

During the day when a camera is not in my hand, you will be able to find me hanging out at home with my lovely husband, Matt, and our hyperactive Dalmatian pups, Winnie and Finn. More than likely, there will be either Taylor Swift or some Bravo show will be on in the background.
